"I worked with Alex for nearly a year to address some deep-rooted traumas, and I owe my newfound sense of empowerment and peace to her and the work we did together. Having dealt with mental health concerns for most of my 34 years and having tried various forms of therapy and different therapists, meeting Alex was a true relief. From our initial free consultation over the phone, her warmth, honesty, and empathy shone through, all while maintaining a high level of professionalism. I felt, and continue to feel, that Alex genuinely cared about me and was fully committed to helping me heal and overcome the challenges I faced. She equipped me with the tools and confidence to manage my bad days and thrive on my good ones. Unlike any other professional I had encountered before, Alex made me feel truly seen and heard. She never made me feel silly and took the time to understand me deeply, which greatly enhanced her ability to support my healing journey. Living more presently now is a wonderful feeling, and I am incredibly grateful for the work we did together. It takes a special soul to choose the profession that she has, and I wholeheartedly thank her for it". (Jess, 34)

"I believe Alex would really help anyone going through a hard time within themselves and their own mind or trying to discover why they are feeling negative feelings and thoughts. I was in denial about my own feelings and I feel like Alex really helped me and I would recommend her to other people. She helped me immensely with understanding the situations that I was in and further acknowledging my own self-awareness to assist in dealing and addressing the challenges I was currently facing. Additionally, Alex allowed me to further understand how I approach my education and my home life and personal relationships with deeper meaning. Addressing past trauma which I have not done before also helped me realise and identify my avoidant attachment issues which presented in my daily life. A weekly session has helped me recognise my thoughts and feelings and helped me to work on them outside of our sessions. Meeting weekly also provided a constant reassurance that I was progressing throughout the time that I was attending sessions and provided insightful knowledge into how to relate to thoughts and feelings through mindfulness and my own self-awareness. This also included ways to reduce anxiety and the steps to counteract negative thinking patterns". (Charlie, 25)

"Therapy with Alex feels different, and this is a good thing. Coming from 25 years' experience of mental health struggles and engagements with wide ranging talking therapies, I had become very jaded with the industry. I was wary of even trying therapy again and I told Alex as much in our free consultation. Somatic therapy and the complimentary approaches that she brings to our sessions has enabled me to engage in a way that I never could with CBT. It all felt prescriptive and sometimes perpetuated me getting 'stuck in my head'. But with Alex I am encouraged to stay present. It feels more collaborative and I have made sustained progress with my goals of healing and managing my symptoms. The first time I met Alex, it was from my bed over Zoom. I felt heard and safe and she never made me feel like I needed to bring anything but my authentic experience to the session. Now I am getting out of the house, socialising with a genuine desire and sense of presence. I know myself better. On my bad days, I feel I have a tailored set of resources to work with and crucially a confidence that I am on the right track to further healing". (Naomi, 46)

"I liked hearing Alex’s perspectives around situations that I wanted to address which gave me different ways into how I can understand things. I enjoyed talking to Alex who really listened with full attention and gave me tools and strategies on how to cope with the stress and upset I felt. I would definitely recommend Alex to people because she offered me so much more than I thought I would get out of counselling. It felt good to talk to her and to feel heard around my situation and it helped me understand what I was going through a lot clearer". (Lonan, 15)

"After seeing Alex, my child is calmer and happier and the situation has improved. There is less stress and less worry for us in the family. Alex has been an amazing therapist for my daughter and now my son". (Lizzie, mother)

"It helped me get everything off my chest. Helped me not to worry. It helps, and I recommend it if you have lots of worries. I was able to share my negative thoughts and emotions with Alex and feel happier outside. It has helped me to learn ways to control my anger as well". (George, 18)

"Alex gave me good weekly support. It helped me learn to focus on my school work rather than issues. It also helped me through other things like socially and at home. I am less angry and know how to help myself when people annoy me now". (Bobby, 16)

"It is probably the best thing I’ve ever done. I feel like myself again, when I was really ill I didn’t feel like myself. Thank you!" (Sienna, 24)

"I feel like I can talk easily and be understood. It’s been good to talk about stuff. It has really helped me being able to come and talk to Alex. It helped me to understand my feelings and learn other ways of looking at them. I will recommend Alex to my friends because it’s really helped me". (Ethan, 21)
